Chimamanda Adichie hosts Kenyan-born Hollywood actress Lupita Nyong’o amongst other celebrities in Lagos, Nigeria.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie hosted Kenyan-born Hollywood actress, Lupita Nyong’o in Lagos on Saturday, February 22.

Lupita Nyong’o’s visit is coming ahead screening of Americanah, a television series adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s acclaimed novel of the same title. The book also won the 2013 National Book Critics Circle Fiction award. Lupita Nyong’o stars as the lead character (Ifemelu) in the ten-episode HBO series which was directed by ‘The Walking Dead’ star, Danai Gurira.

Lupita Nyong’o was hosted at a private reception in Lagos state organised by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. The reception was attended by some well known Nigerians in the entertainment industry which include D’banj, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Omawumi, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Toolz, Femi Kuti, Seun Kuti, Ebuka, Flavour, Bovi and many others.
