5 Nigerian Actresses Who Have Worked on Their Bodies

It is no longer shocking when you hear that a celebrity went under the knife or had plastic surgery to get the kind of body they desire. This sudden craze is no thanks to Hollywood sensations, Kim Kardashian and Nicki Minaj. However, for a Nigerian celebrity to go under the extreme procedure, they would require a lot of boldness and money for adequate maintenance.  As Nigerians, we tend to serve our judgment hot to our fellow Nigerians who we feel are straying away from the African path. This is one of the reasons why Nigerian celebrities who undergo plastic surgery either deny it or keep mum when asked.

But not all of them are scared of being crucified on the Nigerian cross. Read on and you will find Nigerian celebrities who have boldly come out to say that they did plastic surgery and also those who allegedly went under the knife.

  1. King Tonto Dikeh

Known for her numerous controversies, Tonto Dikeh is one ferocious Nigerian celebrity who is not afraid of speaking her truth regardless of how people will take it. She publicised her intentions to modify her body before she even went on the surgery trip. Unlike many other Nigerian celebrities whose sudden body transformation looked unnatural, Tontolet is very vocal about her artificial hot body. She even showered praises on her plastic surgeon for giving her a body that “speaks in tongues.”

2. Rukky Sanda

Rumours started making rounds that Nollywood actress and producer, Rukky Sanda had a facial surgery after she posted a picture on Twitter looking different. Fans pointed out that her cheekbones were more pronounced, her lips fuller and her nose more pointed. And didn’t keep quiet, she responded with this:

Popular Yoruba actress Iyabo Ojo got tongues wagging when she returned from her trip to Turkey with a flatter stomach. Rumours began to fly around that she went to work on her stomach. Although Iyabo Ojo ignored such claims, a close friend of hers who was filled with gratitude to God that she didn’t die revealed that the actress went for a tummy tuck in Turkey.

“Iyabo passed out after the surgery and fell into a coma for five days! It was horrible! Friends and some colleagues in the know started praying for her recovery. But God intervened and she came to. Thank God she didn’t die. It was a tummy tuck,”

5. Toke Makinwa

Like Tonto Dikeh, the bestselling author and fashion diva Toke Makinwa is not secretive about undergoing plastic surgery. Sure, Toke Makinwa would have had a hard time denying that there was nothing artificial about her body because the sudden expansion of her butt was just so obvious and shocking. When pictures of her ‘bigger butt’ sparked surgery rumours, she wasted no time in accepting that she did go under the knife. And according to Toke, that was the best decision she ever made.

There are probably some other names you might be expecting to be on this list, well those ones are still saying it is all thanks to ‘exercise’ and fit fam. Don’t get us wrong, not all fit fam bodies are fake. Well, we are watching and we hope they have the boldness to speak their truth and stop sending messages laced with unrealistic expectations and falsehood.
